Tip: It is particularly atmospheric here in the early morning hours – and you will have the alleys almost to yourself.

Winding alleys, extraordinary architecture and a touch of magic – Böttcherstraße is a paradise for anyone who loves photography. The ornate brick façades, mysterious passageways and detailed ornamentation offer countless exciting motifs. Photos are particularly impressive when you let the narrow alleys run into the distance or capture the façades from a worm's-eye view. The changing light between the buildings also creates exciting contrasts.
Böttcherstraße is also a highlight for selfies: position yourself in front of the striking entrances or use the ornate façades as an unusual backdrop – your photo is guaranteed to be an eye-catcher.

Just a few steps from the city centre, Bürgerpark offers pure nature – a perfect contrast to the urban backdrop. Amateur photographers will find endless motifs here: wide meadows, majestic tree-lined avenues, reflective ponds and picturesque bridges. The Gerdes Pavilion and Melchers Bridge in particular are ideal spots for atmospheric architectural and landscape shots. Early in the morning or late in the afternoon, the soft light creates a particularly idyllic atmosphere.

Überseestadt is Bremen's hotspot for urban photography – this is where modern architecture meets historic warehouses. Well-known locations such as the Molenfeuer or Waller Sand offer ideal backdrops for atmospheric landscape and sunset shots. You can also expect a maritime atmosphere by the water, stylish motifs between glass facades or contrasting shots in front of rustic brickwork. Especially in the evening hours, when the sun is low and the light is reflected in the water, you are sure to capture some real Instagram moments here.

Metalhenge towers high above Bremen – a viewpoint reminiscent of the famous Stonehenge, built on Bremen's rubbish tip, the highest point in the city. From here, you have a unique panoramic view of Bremen, which is ideal for wide panoramic shots during the day and spectacular seas of lights at night.

Teerhof is a small peninsula in the middle of the Weser River and a real insider tip for maritime photo opportunities. From here, you have a great view of the Schlachte Embankment with its bars, restaurants and moored ships – perfect for panoramic shots with urban harbour flair.
The Teerhof itself is also worth taking photos of: modern architecture meets water views, creating exciting contrasts. Amateur photographers can play with reflections in the water and the clear lines of the buildings. At sunset, the maritime feeling is intensified once again, making for particularly atmospheric pictures.

The Wallanlagen are an idyllic photo opportunity right in the heart of the city. Here you will find winding paths, colourful flower beds and romantic waterways – a perfect backdrop for nature shots in the middle of the city. The Beck's Mill on the Wallanagen is particularly popular and, in combination with the surrounding gardens, is a picture-postcard motive par excellence.
