Already known 300 years ago in the South American pampas, today the Rodizio is the centrepiece of the Brazilian Rodizio Boi Na Braza in Horn. Translated, it means "the spinning one". Why? Many different types of meat, seasoned according to an old gaucho recipe, are grilled over an open fire on large skewers. Once the meat is juicy and tender, the "cortadores" cut it straight from the spit onto the plate - a unique experience.

Mommies Corner in Bremen's Neustadt district serves traditional African food. Yellow rice, boiled corn dumplings, yam roots and fried plantains are classic accompaniments to lamb, fish and chicken dishes. Mommies Corner is also a regular fixture on Bremen's street food trails. A tasty alternative if you don't want to go back to your favourite Italian restaurant.
© Babas
The Babas restaurant opened in Kirchhuchting, on the outskirts of Bremen, in summer 2016. It serves traditional Anatolian specialities from the large clay oven and from the grill: Lamb, poultry, veal and fish dishes are on the menu and are prepared with love. The mezze, small side dishes comparable to Spanish tapas, which are an integral part of Anatolian cuisine, are the perfect accompaniment. The dates stuffed with goat's cheese, vine leaves, cigar börek and salads alone are reason enough to pay Babas a visit.

They are a kitchen classic in North Africa: tajines. The cooked dish is served hot in the round, clay-baked braising pots of the same name with domed or pointed lids. At Yamama in the Bremen Viertel , you can choose from various types of meat or vegetarian and vegan alternatives to rice or couscous. Just the sight of the colourful tajines makes your mouth water. Cinnamon flavours, crunchy vegetables and tender meat confirm the visual impression. Anyone who wants to experience oriental cuisine in a modern style should stop by.
