Werder Bremen is playing at home and you're there live? A match day at the Weser Stadium is a unique experience for all visitors. To help you make the most of the time until kick-off, we have put together a few tips for you so that you can relax and enjoy a green and white day in our Hanseatic city!
When Werder Bremen plays at its home stadium, the city becomes a green fan stronghold. Even three hours before kick-off, thousands of fans stream through the streets to enjoy the unique atmosphere. It is therefore important that you plan your journey as well as possible! Parking around the stadium and in the city center is very limited. We therefore recommend using Park & Ride offers - this saves time and stress. However, if you want to experience the special Werder feeling in the Hanseatic city even better, you should definitely make the journey on foot. Not only will you avoid the often overcrowded public transport system, but you will also have the opportunity to stop off at many charming Bremen eateries along the way, grab a bite to eat or simply soak up the fan atmosphere in the district or on the Osterdeich.

Why get annoyed in traffic jams or spend ages looking for a parking space when the journey can also be relaxed and maritime? The Sielwall ferry takes you directly across the Weser to the Weser Stadium- a real highlight for all Werder fans. The small ferry commutes regularly between Café Sand and the Sielwall and offers an atmospheric crossing with the best view of the stadium. If you are traveling from Gröpelingen or the north of Bremen and would like to combine the journey with a short round trip, you can take a ride on a 'Hal över'-boat. The ship calls at several piers for every home game - timetables and tickets are available online. So the stadium experience begins on the water!

To get you in the perfect mood for the Werder game, it's worth visiting the 'Viertel'. The 'Kulturmeile' is decked out in green and white on match day and the streets are full of cheerful fans. Here you can not only soak up the unique atmosphere, but also try a typical Bremen specialty: the Rollo. This delicious mixture of crispy flatbread, spicy fillings and fresh ingredients is available in many local snack bars - such as Tandour or Taverna. Best of all, the Rollo is perfect for enjoying on your way to the Weser Stadium.

Numerous Bremen cult pubs and drinks stands await you in the immediate vicinity of the Weser Stadium, perfect for enjoying a fresh beer or another cold drink before the game. The 'Eisen' and the 'Taubenschlag' are particularly popular places to go - Werder fans meet here to get in the mood for the game or to celebrate together after the match. Whether victory or defeat, the community and atmosphere in these locations are unique.
And for all those who couldn't get a ticket: No need to worry! Many pubs in the area broadcast the matches live. The atmosphere here is at least as thrilling as in the stadium and will still make your match day a highlight!

If you prefer to take it easy before the game, head to the Osterdeich. Here you have a wonderful view of the Weser and the Weser Stadium. Snacks and cool drinks are available from the kiosk on the corner of Osterdeich-Sielwall, where you can easily stock up.
A special highlight of every match day is making your way to the stadium along the Osterdeich with other Werder fans. The march along the Weser is an integral part of the fan tradition and noticeably increases the anticipation of the game when the stadium appears on the horizon behind the 'Weserbogen'.

For fans who are not often at the stadium, the Wuseum may offer an interesting alternative to the other tips. Werder Bremen's club museum is open before home matches in addition to its regular opening hours. Three hours before the start of a match, the Wuseum in the stadium opens its doors for two hours and shows you highlights from almost 120 years of club history.
