Conditions for Participating in Competitions and Prize Draws in the City Portal

1. How the Prize Draw Works

The Prize Draw organiser is Bremeninvest. There is a limited participation period for each prize draw. Participation in the prize draw is online or on the relevant social media channels. Only applications submitted during the participation period will be taken into account. Each person can only participate in the prize draw once. Participation in the competition is free. It is not necessary to purchase goods or entrance tickets for admission to events run by Bremeninvest or the sponsor, to participate.

2. Entitlement to Participate

Only applicants of legal age, who have their own permanent place of residence in Germany, are entitled to take part. Legal representatives and employees of Bremeninvest, or any other persons who are involved in running the prize draw, are not permitted to participate. The same applies to family members of the aforementioned groups of persons.

3. Exclusion of Participants

Bremeninvest reserves the right to exclude persons from the competition if they breach these Conditions of Participation or attempt to influence the results of the competition by means of technical manipulation. If a participant is excluded, the prize may be revoked retroactively and claimed back. In such a case, substitute winners may be selected.

4. Prizes

The prize will be described on the same web page as the prize draw form.

The prize shall be drawn among the people who applied to participate in the prize draw, during the participation period, after participation has ceased on www.bremen.de or the persons who participated in the prize draw on the relevant social media channels. The winners shall be informed without delay, by e-mail, using the e-mail address they provided. The participants themselves are responsible for ensuring that the e-mail address they provide is correct. If the participants cannot be contacted because the e-mail address they provide is incorrect, the prize will be forfeited. Bremeninvest and other parties involved in running the prize draw are not required to check the addresses provided by participants.

The prize cannot be paid out in cash. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged. Legal recourse is excluded. Winners are responsible for paying any tax due on their winnings. Winners are liable for additional costs arising from claiming the prize.

5. Applicable Law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall exclusively apply.

DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS

Personal data must be provided, to take part in the competition. The personal data submitted by participants will be saved and used exclusively for the purposes of running the prize draw and then deleted when the prize has been paid out, unless participants have given their express permission for its use to continue. Participants are free to revoke their consent for their data to be stored and therefore withdraw from the prize draw at any time by e-mailing a written notification to info@bremen.de. Once the data has been deleted, participants will no longer be able to take part in the competition or, where applicable, be considered in the subsequent selection of winners.
