The Bremen Space Year has ended but...

...some of our more than 70 partners keep going on!


They celebrate the Bremen Space Year with you until the rest of the year! Under the motto STERNSTUNDEN 2018, on the occasion of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), taking place in Bremen from 11th January to 5th October, numerous events and offers on the subject of space travel awaited you to take part, see, listen and marvel. Continue to use the search mask to get information about events in german language that will take place even after the official end of the Bremen Space Year until the end of 2018. Because: 170 events took place until the 5th of October, up to 200 are expected by the end of 2018.

In 2018, Bremen was the host city of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC): The largest and most important astronautics congress worldwide took place from 1-5 October in Bremen with the theme #InvolvingEveryone. Around 4,000 participants from over 60 countries came to Bremen for a second time – Bremen was also host city in 2003. Bremen is the most important space city in Germany and one of the largest and most significant space centers Europe wide. The host of IAC was the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Ports of Bremen.


Numerous actors of the space sector, as well as the Bremen Space Year STERNSTUNDEN 2018, took the opportunity that IAC presents to organize events. The entire annual program, listing all activities and events, is available since the start of the Bremen Space Year at: www.sternstunden2018.de (German-speaking) and www.iac2018.org (English-speaking).
