In 2018, Bremen was the host city of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC): The largest and most important astronautics congress worldwide took place from 1-5 October in Bremen with the theme #InvolvingEveryone. Around 4,000 participants from over 60 countries came to Bremen for a second time – Bremen was also host city in 2003. Bremen is the most important space city in Germany and one of the largest and most significant space centers Europe wide. The host of IAC was the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Ports of Bremen.
Numerous actors of the space sector, as well as the Bremen Space Year STERNSTUNDEN 2018, took the opportunity that IAC presents to organize events.
